2008 July > Pedigree Dog Adoption
Community Canines rushed their way towards Withrow Park to join Kurt Browning and the Pedigree Adoption Drive for a morning devoted to dogs.
Each year thousands of unwanted pups end up in shelters because of limited housing. The goal of the Pedigree Adoption Drive campaign is to raise $ 500,000 , which would be used to cover costs of vet care, shelter, vaccinations and food for thousands of dogs across Canada.
Professional Figure Skater, Kurt Browning along with dozens of volunteers and staff from Pedigree provided Withrow dogs with a morning full of excitement and treats. These pups' guests (owners) also had the opportunity learn more about their pups at a variety of booths on display as well as the importance of adopting through the experts at the Humane Society of Durham Region.
