2008 July > Chicken's on the Run

Nothing makes a young child smile like a newly hatched chick. That's what we learned when we visited Better Beginnings Nursery - just before the chicks were old enough to literally fly the coop. The toddlers had waited a week for the little chicks to crack through their shells - they were eager to meet them and watched as they hatched and then finally got to meet and hold them. The day finally came this past month and their encounters with one another was something very special and touched the hearts of nursery school teachers. There were far too many smiles to capture in one story as each little kid found a feathered friend. It was lovely to watch. Better Beginnings Nursery School provides children young children with an environment that facilitates social, emotional and intellectual development. For more information contact the school’s Director, Jodi Harper at 416 903-7827.
