2008 July > Waterfront Blues Festival
If you like your blues music hot and steamy, the Waterfront Blues Festival was the place to be. June 6-9 was the first hot weekend this year which may have deterred some people from attending. However those who did attend, were treated to top notch blues from some of Canada's best artists. The line up included Fathead, Johnny Max Band, Paul Reddick & The Sidemen, Gina Sicilia, Sharrie Williams, Duke Robillard, and Erin McCallum. Music lovers had a choice between two stages, The Toronto Star Stage and the main band shell.
There were also other forms of entertainment such as a rock climbing wall, the Backyard Drills Caravan, a few midway rides for the kids and what would a blues festival be without a BBQ and a beer garden? This was the first year for the Blues Festival at Woodbine Park. Hopefully this celebration of Blues music will continue to grow.
