2008 July > Michael Mitchell Sings out Loud

Ward 9 Co-op Daycare was proud to present renowned children's performer Michael Mitchell to the Beach at St. Aiden Church. Mitchell performed songs of our Canadian heritage and brought to life what it really means to be a Canadian. Mitchell is also a former songwriter and recording artist for Sesame Street, and a co-host of CTV's Storytime. The fundraising event for Ward 9 Co-op Daycare was a huge hit with the kids and a much appreciated addition to the spring entertainment calendar. And it wasn't only Michael on the agenda - the fire truck that stopped by was a huge hit, hotdogs were on the BBQ, an Auction helped raise money and a drum circle kept the kids and their parents busy.
