2008 July > Lieutenant Governor Games

The 24th Annual Lieutenant Governor Games welcomed over 400 youngsters from schools across the GTA to participate in numerous activities, encouraging and challenging children and young people living with disabilities. The single-day event was hosted by the Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, and organized by Variety Village staff and volunteers. Roughly seven different sets of activities were ongoing throughout the main facility. Children were separated into groups allowing them to participate equally in each activity and these kids took advantage of the games, becoming their own rock, basketball and dance stars!
