American Idol could learn a thing or two from the performers who took the stage at our very own, local, Glen Ames Idol. Student after student took the stage and sung their hearts out in hopes of becoming Glen Ames' Next Glen Ames Idol.
With similarities to "Canadian Idol" the audience heard comments after each performance from three judges (teachers), and afterwards had the opportunity to vote for their favourite performance at the end of the night. The top ten performers showcased their talents on the final day of competition. Each contestant wowed the audience with their vocals and stage presence, which led to one tough final decision.
Other Glen Ames students who were not competing in the idol, also had the chance to rock out during the intermissions, providing additional entertainment.
Stay tuned for next year's Idol because there is no shortage of musical talent at Glen Ames.
