2008 July > Kingston Road Spring Festival On Saturday June 7, 2008 the 6th Annual Kingston Road Spring Festival, hosted by Centre 55 and The Kingston Rd. Business Association, turned out to be the biggest one yet. This year included the usual businesses between Hannaford Road and Victoria Park and expanded to include the merchants in the Henley Gardens/Fallingbrook area located to the east of Victoria Park.
With temperatures exceeding 30c, this spring fest felt more like a mid-summer festival. Some of the new features were, a children’s play area sponsored and run by Centre 55, a scavenger hunt with over $1000.00 in prizes and more live music than previous years. One of the biggest hits this year was the musical group SOB (Sisters, Others and Brothers) performing outside Scarboro Music. They may be young, but they have talent beyond their years.
